Twenty years has passed since I first visited and fell in love with the faith and hope of the people of Haiti. It didn't take long to realize that there was little I could do to improve the "big picture". However, a few years ago, Martin Glesil and I were installing a cement floor in a friend's house when we became aware that our friend would be among a very few in that area that had a cement floor. So we decided that we would start begging for money and see how many floors we could install. We have done over 500 floors now, and still counting.
Martin will be in Indiana for a month or two this Spring and we're going to try to get some work for Martin to help his own family and to also raise money for Foundations for Haitians.
